General terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all those enrolled in sewing classes at Sewing Studio 6. Sewing Studio 6 is located in Nieuw Vennep and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under no: 34374964.
Application
After registering via e-mail, you declare your agreement with the terms and conditions and the obligation to pay. Your application is personalized. If the student is a minor, the parent(s) and/or guardian(s) are liable for payment. You sign up for one set class per week and for consecutive weeks. With the exception of national holidays, and summer vacations of North Holland province .
Reserve spot during prolonged absence.
Sewing classes run year-round with the exception of national holidays and North Holland County summer vacation. Should you be unable to attend classes for more than 4 consecutive weeks during your current lesson card, but you do not wish to cancel your spot for your chosen class time, you can, upon prior payment of 50% of the corresponding lesson fee, reserve this spot. These classes cannot be made up, but you will be guaranteed a spot immediately upon returning from the extended absence.
Cancel
There is a two-week notice period. Canceling sewing classes can be done by email, phone, whatsapp or verbally.
Refund
As a rule, refunds of tuition will not be made.
Payments
Method of payment: by bank or cash. The fee must be credited before the start of the first lesson, or cash at the start of the first lesson.
Liability
Use of the sewing and lock machines and ironing facilities is entirely at your own risk. During and after the classes and workshops, Sewing Studio 6 is not liable for any direct or indirect damage from any cause to (property of) the participant.
Teacher illness or absence
In case of illness or absence of the teacher, the class will be cancelled by email or whatsapp or by phone. This class may, of course, be made up. If a class day is full, another day will be chosen by mutual agreement
Privacy
Sewing Studio 6 respects the privacy of all participants and takes care to keep the personal information you provide us confidential. Sewing Studio 6 uses your e-mail address for mutual communication.
Why I need your information and how I use it.
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use and share your data, including:
Where necessary to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, resolve disputes or provide customer service;
When you have given your express consent, which you can withdraw at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
as necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax laws; and
To the extent necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services.
Data retention
I keep your personal information only as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce my agreements. Generally, I keep your data for 4 years.
Your rights
If you live in certain areas, including the EU, you have a number of rights regarding your personal data. While some of these rights are universal, some rights relate to particular, limited cases. I describe those rights below:
Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you. You can contact me for this purpose using the information below.
Modify, limit, delete. You may also have the right to change your personal information, limit my use of it, or delete it. If there are no exceptional circumstances (such as where I have to store data for legal reasons), I will usually delete your personal data upon request.
Objection. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your data based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages after giving your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate reasons to continue using that information or if it is necessary for legal reasons.
Complaints. If you live in the EU and wish to raise concerns about my use of your data (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

Photographers copyright
Photos taken during classes may be used for personal use and portfolio. They may not be used commercially in any way without prior written permission from Sewing Studio 6. Sewing Studio 6 will always ask participants (parents for underage participants) verbal or email permission to use photos of participants for posting on the website or social media.
